Our Mission

Teach youth soccer skills, rules, regulations and an understanding of the game while fostering sportsmanlike conduct and TEAM play through positive and instructive coaching and a safe practice and game environment. Promote the game of soccer in our community while providing opportunities for ALL youth to participate, play and HAVE FUN.

Volunteers

SHYSA can always use volunteers. Below are some of the areas that are critical to the success of our soccer program.

Board Members: Serve on the club board to help facilitate the management and operation of the club. The following list identifies the current board positions.; President

Field Maintenance; More board members lighten the workload for everyone and provide stability and continuity as volunteers leave.
Coaches: Head coaches and assistant coaches are always in demand. Coaches must complete a short background check form, and have a sincere interest in helping youth develop as players and people. Training is available so you do not need prior soccer experience.
Referees: Youth and adult referees are needed to insure that games will be properly officiated. Youth should be at least 14 years of age. Training is provided and referees are paid.
